Alaska and Hawaiian offer cabin, checked baggage and separate Pet Connect freight options, subject to route, aircraft, breed and space restrictions.

- RestrictedDomestic cats and dogs may travel in a soft under-seat carrier, with reserved space. Pit Bulls are excluded from ordinary cabin pet carriage under the contract.

- RestrictedChecked pets use the climate-controlled baggage compartment, subject to aircraft, weather, breed and travel-date restrictions. Reserve space with the operating airline.

- RestrictedPet Connect freight is available for animals traveling without a passenger; confirm the route, dates, kennel and capacity with Alaska/Hawaiian Air Cargo.
- Snub-nosed
- Case by caseListed short-nosed breeds and mixes are generally refused as checked baggage. The contract permits an exception on direct mainland–Hawaii flights, with no mainland connections, and requires acceptance of the increased health risk. Confirm the exact breed and flight.

Notes
Only soft carriers are accepted in the cabin, up to 17 × 11 × 9.5 inches. The carrier must be leak-proof, ventilated and fit under the seat without losing its shape while occupied.

Book the passenger ticket, then contact the operating airline to reserve the pet allocation. An ordinary passenger reservation alone does not reserve pet space.

Alaska/Hawaiian do not transfer checked pets to other carriers. Claim and recheck with the connecting airline; Hawaii interline transfers are not permitted.
